Pro Muscle Magazin - May '05 Edition
This popular Romanian fitness magazine features MM Canada Champion Larry Vinnette .  The Montreal native is a husband and father of 3 beautiful girls and is a successful personal trainer.  Larry started competing in 1999 in IFBB shows but switched to all natural events in 2003.  Now a MM Pro, he was very disappointed after missing the Top 5 at MM World last year but has high hopes of being competitive with superstars like Morris Mendez, Ulisses Jr. and other MM stars in Hollywood.

Muscle Fit - August '05 Edition
Romania's most popular bodybuilding magazine featured Musclemania World in last month's edition.   When the publishers of the magazine first saw photos of costumed MM competitors, he was amazed with the entertaining aspect of the show.  With more European magazines now featuring MM shows, more natural bodybuilders are competing.  According to editor Gabi Roban, "Natural bodybuilding is new in Europe and growing very fast.  We are happy to support it.  It's about time!"


Natural Muscle - August '05 Edition
Hot newcomer Daniele McGlynn was a sensation at the recent Ms. Bikini Universe in Miami Beach.  She and racy Las Vegas sports model Rico Elbaz pulsate the cover of Natural Muscle this month in a shot that was takent at the South Beach show last April.  Both had the photographers clicking in a rage during the 4-day, outdoor festival and will be competing in the Ms. Bikini America and Model America in Hollywood in November.

Fisico y Fitness - August '05 Edition
With the explosive growth of Musclemania in Mexico, a lot of new bodybuilding talent are competing - guys whom have never even seen a competition.  Such is Victor Manuel Lopez , a physical specimen who's got a great mix of athletic development and competitive muscle.  The 23 year old mechanic is from Michuocan and commands the cover of Fisico y Fitness this month.  Victor won Musclemania Latino in April and is preparing for Musclemania Mexico in October.

 

Physical - August '05 Edition
One of the hottest sports models on the scene is California's Eric Carlson who just won the Model Universe in Miami Beach.  The 26 year old personal trainer and outdoor adventure guide commands attention with his 6'2", 210 structure.  On the cover of this month's Physical magazine, Eric had never entered a modeling competition before enter the '04 Model America which he also won.  Currently living in Redondo Beach, he moved from Texas after a high school and collegiate football and baseball career.

Musclemag International - September '05 Edition
We haven't seen much of Skip LaCour in recent years, but he'll be first to tell you that he got his start in competitive bodybuilding at Musclemania.  The '94 MM World Champion tells his story this month in Musclemag including how he has become a popular motivational speaker and role model for natural bodybuilders everywhere.  The 5'10", 210 lbs. sensation still lives in Northern California and is sponsored by AST Nutrition.


Fisico y Fitness - June '05 Edition
The cover of Mexico's Fisico y Fitness is the hot, new teenage fitness model, Giovanni Azpeitia .  The 18 year old bodybuilder got started training when his Dad, a former Mr. Mexico, took him to a local gym at just 13 years old.  Giovanni won the Model Latino Championships in April and is preparing for the Model America in Hollywood.  At 5'11", 200 lbs., he trains every day and is attending college with aspirations of become an airline pilot.


Planet Muscle - July '05 Issue
One of Mexico's hottest bodybuilders commands the cover of Planet Muscle.  Ricardo Delgado of Mexico City was the '02 MM World Junior Champ and since has been a Top 5 Finalist at the '04 MM Superbody and '05 MM Latino.  At 5'11", 200 lbs., he is a symmetrical illusion on stage and has one of the best set of abs in the sport.  Ricardo's father also was a competitive bodybuilder and got him started lifting weights as a teenager.  They work together as mechanics at the family's auto repair shop in Mexico City.

Ironman - July '05 Issue
 

  Once again, '03 MM World Champion Tamer El Shahat commands the cover of Ironman.  Since his appearance at Musclemania, the Egyptian bodybuilding star has signed a contract with Ironman and promotes their supplement line. Since living his homeland and moving to America in November, 2003, Tamer has lived in North Hollywood, California, where he works as a personal trainer at the local Gold's Gym.  

Fisico Fitness - April '05 Issue
The Musclemania Latino and Model Latino Championships recently discovered some of the newest natural bodybuilders and fitness models in Mexico City. This month, Mexico's popular fitness magazine, Fisico y Fitness, features the whole competition including Victor Lopez (MM Champ) and Giovanni Azpeitia (Model Champ) who were surprised their competition because of their novice status. Lopez had only competed once and Azpeitia is just 18 years old! MM Pro Morris Mendez was on hand as a special guest poser and seminar host. The event has set the stage for the Mexico Championships, also in Mexico City in October.

   
     

Max Fitness - March '05 Issue



"Build Bigger Arms" is what its all about when Model America finalist Julien Greaux demonstrates how to train for a well balanced physique.  Coming from the small Caribbean Island of St. Barths, Julien was always into outdoors especially beach sports.  His 5'8", 175 lbs. physique is slight but powerfully built and incredibly muscular - enough to have earn him cover positions on over 10 different magazines.

Former MM Pro Ade Rai is endorsing Max Muscle Sports Nutrition in their latest protein advertisement.  Ade no longer competes but have developed himself into a fitness mogul in his native Indonesia.  He owns a chain of fitness centers, a sports apparel line and shoe line, a monthly bodybuilding magazine, weekly radio show and a lot more.  To say that the Musclemania star has become a mega star is an understatement.

Musclemania Pro Brian Weifering commands the cover of Muscle & Fitness. The 30 year old genetic engineering sales executive has layed off from competitive action since the '02 MM World but is now training for MM Superbody in Miami Beach, June 25. For 8 years, Brian has been happily married and is the proud father of 3 beautiful daughters.

Men's Workout - June '05 Issue
 

Eric Carlson makes it in two magazines this month with a full profile, "Leading By Example". Originally from Round Rock, Texas, he now earns his living by taking people on Adventure Retreats around the world. Says Eric, "It gives them the opportunity to experience the pure joy and passion in life. I plan on someday building a resort an spa in Fiji." He
makes his base camp in Southern California.

A cool feature of some Model America stars appear in this month's edition of Men's Workout. Eric Carlson, Lenny Girelli, Damian Segovia, Brett Bardwell and Brandon MacKay. None of these sports models had any contest experience, so they were just out to have some fun and, most important, catch some attention from the agents, media and photographs who were scoping for new talent.

He's a comic by profession, but Geoff Ward is no laughing matter when it comes to modeling. The 23 year old jock makes a living as a comedian - really! Geoff works the South Florida market and has performs over 300 times per year. He says, "Staying in peak shape makes it easy for me on stage." Finally a fitness model who stays in shape for something other than sports! Like Eric, Geoff is preparing for Model Universe in Miami Beach.

When Model America favorite Damian Segovia stepped on stage, your eyes went straight for his massive chest. The 6'2" college student has always been an all around jock, so training was something that was a necessity for competitive sports. But, after his high school and college sports days were over, he started training for shape

and symmetry. "I used to training to make weight, build my strength and improve my speed. Now, keeping a balanced and chiseled body keeps me fired up in the gym."

This month's edition of E&H is packed with 2004 Model America competitors including Damian Segovia who although did not make the Top 5 was a big hit among the media. He is featured in an article about training for rehab conditioning. With his athletic 6'2", 215 lbs. physique, this former NFL rookie was a college football and track star at BYU. At 27 years of age, Damian is current attending University of Phoenix.

Another hot Model America star is Lenny Girelli from Southern California. At 6 foot tall, he only weighs 176 lbs. yet appears packed with impressive muscle develop. In fact, he also competed and was a Top 5 Finalist in both Model America and Musclemania World in California last November. The aspiring actor works as a personal trainer and has a photo spread this month in a isometric, body training feature.

2004 Model America Champion Eric Carlson is featured in "How To Lose Your Love Handles". The 6'2", 205 lbs. model has already been very successful in his career including appearances in Cosmo, Playboy, MTV, Tommy Hilfiger and much more. The 31 year old has extensive sports experience including college football, rock climbing, surfing, mud runs, basketball, baseball and track. Eric is currently preparing for Model Universe in Miami Beach.

Mr. Argentina and Musclemania World HW Finalist Simon Gimenez is featured in this month's "New Faces". The 28 year old personal trainer competes in nearly all MM World and Superbody events because, as he says, "They don't make shows like it in Argentina!" At 5'11", 235 lbs., Simon is a massive bodybuilder on stage and is one South America's most popular. Once again, he is training for Superbody in June.

Fisico Fitness - April '05 Issue
MM Pro and World Champion Finalist Morris Mendez appears this month on the cover of Fisico Fitness, Mexico's premier fitness and bodybuilding magazine. The 32 year old juvenile counselor hails from Connecticut where he earned quick attention as one of natural bodybuilding's fastest rising stars. Recently, Morris made a guest appearance at the Musclemania Latino in Mexico City and was mobbed by the crowd throughout the weekend event. He's now preparing for Superbody in Miami Beach and aiming for the title crown.

Body Fitness - April '05 Issue
Popular MM Pro Jason Powell dominates the cover of Spain's Body Fitness with Ms. Bikini America Jennifer Nicole Lee.  They were photographed at last year's Universe Weekend in Miami Beach and both are again preparing for the show in June.  Jason owns and operates a major corporate wellness center in Houston and was an US Air Force commando.  Jennifer hit the contest scene just last year and is a law school student, wife and mother of two boys.

Mexican bodybuilding star Fabian Zavala is featured in a spread about "Living The Fitness Lifestyle".  At 5'10", 220 lbs. and with "guapo" good looks, Fabian is popular among most of Mexico's fitness photographers.  The 29 year old equipment manufacturer has twice competed in Musclemania World and last season was a Top 5 Finalist at MM Mexico.  Currently, Fabian is training for MM World in California in November.

Musclemag Mexico - April '05 Issue
Musclemania Mexico Champion Angel Rangel layed out from competition for two years before sweeping into Mexico City and storming the competition.  The 5'6", 180 lbs. personal trainer has a powerful physique and remains in top shape year round.  Living on the seaside community of Veracruz, Angel's diet is heavy on fresh fish available every morning at the shore line markets.  He is currently training for MM Superbody in Miami Beach.

Fitness RX for Men - March '05 Issue
The new Model America Champion Eric Carlson is the cover model on Fitness Rx, this month. The 24 year old is a big believer in creating your own realities in life. Eric moved to Los Angeles 11 years ago to get into modeling but, as he admits, "I was always shy about showing my body and I gave it up. Now, I am making a comeback to show others that it's possible to overcome your fears". Eric trains in Redondo Beach, California, and runs "The Strand" everyday.

Having appeared in most of the top level fitness magazines around the world, David Nathan is nationally recognized natural bodybuilder. But despite his acclaim, he never competed in Musclemania shows, until last year's World Championships, that is. The 6'2", 235 lbs., 32 year old fitness model, held off entering, as he put it, "Until I was ready!" The Portland, Oregon, native is now training for Superbody in Miami Beach.

Olympian's News - January, 2005
One of Italy's most popular training magazines features MM Pro Dan Decker on its January cover. Olympian's News is for serious trainers and athletes and presents weight lifting, sports nutrition and technical knowledge about developing athletic skills and abilities for most sports, including bodybuilding. With incredible muscle development and maturity, Dan earned his Musclemania Professional status by winning the '04 MM Superbody LHW and is training for his pro debut at '05 MM Superbody in Miami Beach, June 25.
