Well, we`re just 2 weeks away from the MM Worlds and boy am I looking forward to it. After placing second in my first pro show with Musclemania in Miami at the Superbody, I can say I`m so motivated and focused, it`s not even funny. After looking at the pictures from the show, I know I wasn't at my best, having competed the week before in Toronto at Musclemania Canada where I turned Pro. You can`t keep the same conditionning two weeks in a row. The dehydration, rehydration, the flight, dehydration again, the stress of competing at my first Pro show.

I`ve been weight training for the past 20 years and competed for the last 10, and finally I get a chance to share the stage with the best natural physiques at the Musclemania World. WOW!

I plan on bringing a complete package to Anaheim. I`ve prepared a little differently this time and will be coming in a lot fuller and ripped to the bone - well, maybe not the bone but the muscles at least. I`ve taken Lou Zwick's advice and trained my arms like crazy. I have the pleasure of working with Tommy Poulin (one of the best A.R.T.therapists in the world) and we managed to combine training and therapy to help my arms grow like never before. You should try A.R.T. therapy for a lagging bodypart - it really brings about results!

I`m weight training four days a week with five 30 minute cardio sessions. When training naturally, this is about all one can do to maximize results without overtraining. Nutrition is key to getting the results needed to win a competition, so don`t drift off from your game plan. When you know you didn`t give your preparation a 100% , you only have yourself to blame. Keep your eyes on the prize.

I`d like to congradulate Ulysses Jr. for beating me in Miami and hope it will be the last time. I`m looking forward to seeing all the other Pros and competitors in California as well. I`ll be arriving a week early this time and train at Golds Venice for a few days and do photo shoots with top photographer Irvin Gelb.

As this is my first time at Musclemaniacs, and that I gotta go eat, I`ll write another article soon and tell you my training and nutrition strategies to becoming '' I hope'' the next Musclemania World Champion!

I gotta give a big shoutout to my girl Isabelle for putting up with me for the last 18 years. Also to my beautiful daughters Laila and Leoni (Daddy loves you sooo much), everyone at Pro Gym in Montreal and to all Musclemania fans out there.

See you in Cali!
