I grew up in a small town of Hawkesbury, Ontario about 60
miles west of Montreal, Quebec. As a young kid I have played
different sports such as hockey, baseball and softball.
At the age of 17, I began to take interest in weight training
and decided to take a membership at the gym. I started training
(not competitively) though just to get in shape. As years
went by, many of my friends and the trainers at the gym inspired
me to compete in bodybuilding competitions because of my genetic
body structure. At the moment I never considered it since
being a shy person would put me at a disadvantage to compete
on stage with others. I have gone to see some of the competitions
that my friends were competing in and realized that it was
not as I thought but more as of an encouragement and support
getting from friends and relatives to compete on stage. I
felt now that it was more as a challenge than a fear to compete.
This challenge was experienced in my first competition for
Physique Quebec Testé in 2001 in Montreal where I took
1st place in the Lightweight Division.
Today, I have been training seriously for eight years. In
the last year I have been under the coaching of personal trainer
Yannik Morin from Montreal. With his experience, encouragement
and different training techniques helps me to achieve my goals
and to be a better competitor.
True though, discipline, dedication (dieting, training regularly)
and hard work plays a big part in this sport. Many hours are
spent in the gym training and preparing for future events.

So far I have achieved one of my goals by recently completing
a personal trainer course (C.O.R.F.I.T) given by instructor
Glen Cunningham. My future goals I hope to take overall in
the MuscleMania Canada show this coming year in Toronto and
to take part in the MuscleMania Worlds.
