Greetings everyone!
We are now coming upon springtime and my mind is now focusing on competition season. I am very busy with my personal training business at Smithtown Gold's Gym, NY. I am also coaching/dieting a few competitors for bodybuilding and figure competitions. Along with this, I am dieting for my own competitions in June. Unfortunately, Musclemania does not have a professional women's class for the, so I am forced to compete in the NPC (naturally of course), and what to get my
pro-card. I do enjoy competing in the Musclemania Superbody but have decided to be a spectator this year due to helping out one of my clients who is competing in the Figure, Model, & Ms. Bikini Universe shows. Next year, I plan to compete at the Musclemania World show. This is a show I have never competed and have decided it is time to do it.
On the other hand, I am currently moving into a new apartment with my boyfriend, Chris. I am busy throwing out old things and redecorating! I never thought how tough it was to relocate. But I want to make it feel like home as much as possible. I am also working on a business plan to open up my own personal training studio. This is a dream and goal I have always wanted to achieve. But it is going to take time! I am meeting with business advisers on how to go about it. I want a small place that is personalized and helps the client feel at home.
Academically, I have also decided to go back to school. I am intrigued with nutrition and have decided that I want to pursue becoming a Registered Dietician. I have applied to Long Island University-C.W. Post. and am still waiting on my acceptance. I think this Masters Degree will greatly help my business and also build my knowledge of the subject.
My workouts in the gym have become intense! I am doing a lot of cardiovascular work and having great hard/intense workouts with the weights. My diet and cardio fluctuate each day due to the fact that my body is slow in losing weight, due to my thyroid condition and insulin resistance. It is a constant battle and yes sometimes I do get very frustrated but I keep plugging along and refuse to give up! I really want that pro card!
So, as you can see I am very busy with a lot of goals and achievements. I don't mind. I feel that if you have dreams you got to believe in them and work towards them regardless of ups an downs. They will eventually come true! Feel free to give me an e-mail if you want. Keep the drive alive!
