Hey there Musclemaniacs:

Its been a while since I've updated this page, but I now have something to update. Let me start by saying that the Musclemania Worlds show in Hollywood was a terrific experience and easily the best show I have ever seen let alone competed in. I have never felt such a rush as I did on that stage. I am certain that all of you who were there know exactly what I'm talking about. I just hope that the shows continue to grow as they have and we see more of these large events, especially at the national level shows such as the one in Canada . I think there are a lot of great competitors in Toronto who should be representing Canada in Musclemania. That was probably the one thing that I was most impressed with at the World show, there were all these great athletes from all over the world who had unique accents and attitudes, and even more impressive was there posing style and routines. I was very motivated and intrigued by all these different types of people that came to the Musclemania stage for the love of the sport. I was amazed to find out just how much we all had in common even though our cultures are so different. This was an experience that I will never forget and would give anyone a greater appreciation for what we do as competitive bodybuilders.

I have spent a long time developing my physique before stepping on the world stage in Hollywood climbing up the podium to the tune of 4th, 4th, 2nd, 2nd, and then finally 1st at the 2006 Toronto show in the junior category where I had defeated Dorian Hamilton who I thank for bringing his A-game, because without his efforts my victory cake would not have been as sweet and I congratulate him for his improvements over the past year. At the worlds show I finished second place as a Heavyweight Junior to Brad Castleberry. He was a great competitor and my hat goes off to him; along with Rob Riches who was absolutely shredded, and Chris Darby who had an amazing routine. Congrats also to Alvin Viernes and David Higuera who were great competitors that I'm going to be looking out for in the future.

At the worlds show I realized that the only way we can improve as bodybuilders is to compete against others and see how we stack up. I have been measured against the best in our sport and I have gained an understanding of what I need to improve on in order to achieve an award winning physique. It is thanks to these shows that I have been able to improve consistently over the years. I only hope that I continue to improve and be challenged by the great athletes that Musclemania has provided.

So for all you Musclemaniacs out there, keep training hard and don't ever shy away from competition because we can all help each other through these shows. Until next time keep up the good work everybody.
Sincerely,

Ivano
