Fans and Friends,
Allow me to introduce myself to the Musclemania community. I am Sean Larson. 2005 Musclemania Atlantic Champion and Musclemania Professional.
Nine months ago no one would have thought that it would be possible that I would even consider stepping back on stage. On, July 22, 2004, I had emergency surgery to remove a kidney. Most speculated that it was from years of training and supplementation in the sport of natural bodybuilding. Wrong. It was a birth-defect. I had never developed one in the left side of my body. I just found this out last May. It took two months for the hospital to compile a surgical team for the extraction. Two months of excruciating pain, lying there in hospital bed all I could think about was my competitive career. Bodybuilding is my life and I wasn't about to let this deter me from my dream and goal of becoming a Pro. It was bodybuilding that had me on the fast track to recovery. Out of the hospital and into the gym in 1 1/2 weeks. Unheard of! My body recovered fast due to the fact that I am a healthy, young, and active man. My doctors want me to be their spokesman. To stay healthy and fit increases your chances of recovery. I am proof positive of that.
Now with my surgery out of the way, there was renewed aspirations. It's Go Time! I had started training for the Atlantic in late December to give myself enough time to learn as to how my body's going to react. I had felt better than I ever had felt before. Focused and determined 17 weeks later I had won the Overall Title and earned my Musclemania Pro status. Mission accomplished! Everyone could not be any happier for me. They knew that it was my goal.
I can relate to most people with this situation, because people face adversity every day in their lives. Stay focused and you can overcome and achieve anything.
As for now, I am going to premier as a professional in Miami Beach at Musclemania Superbody. Bring it on! Fresh off of a win I'm gonna use my momentum like a tsunami strait into South Beach. It's sure to be a blast baby!
I would like to use this opportunity to thank everyone who believed in me. I would like to thank all of my family and friends for giving me strength and encouragement throughout
this process. Brian Cannone, for always promoting a wonderful show in the Fitness Atlantic. I would especially like to thank my surgeon, Dr. Franklin Friedman for taking wonderful care of me when I was ill. Thank you all!
In the weeks to come I'll update you as to how I am prepin' to blow up Superbody including my training, nutrition, and also a little incite about my occupation as a black-jack dealer at Mohegan Sun resort and Casino.
Everyone keep in touch. You can send me an email message here. I got my mind on Miami and Miami's on my mind. It's on!! Holla atcha boy!!
