What’s up Bodybuilding Fans?!! Here we are now sitting 3 weeks away from the Musclemania South Beach. 3 weeks!! Time really does fly. I have been working hard with my training, to try and make more improvements. My goal, as always, is to be the complete package. I can truly say that training for this show has been quite different that the past. After evaluating each competition when I finished, I would talk with Louis Zwick and he would suggest that I not be obsess with coming in shredded for shows. This was actually causing me to lose a lot of my fullness and dryness which I had in the weeks leading up to the show. After fighting him on this topic for now two years, I decided to try it his way. Well, I must say that I was a little nervous to loosen up on my diet and cut down on my cardio. I felt as though I wasn’t doing enough. After about 4 weeks, I realized that what ever I was doing (or not doing) was working. I stayed away from the scale and just went with the plan. When I did step on the scale last week, I was very surprised to see that I was 213 lbs! Usually I would be around the 200 lbs mark at that time. The best thing about being heavier is being stronger! Instead of losing lots of weight and getting weaker by the day, I was getting stronger. It dawned on me that I was 5 weeks out from a show, and was benching 4 plates. That ain’t bad! Unfortunately I did come down with the flu this week, which took me out of the gym for the whole week. I am feeling better now, but not quite 100%. I am very eager to get back to my training and my diet. Although this is an obstacle, you have to roll with the punches. I still plan to be at my best at South Beach. I would like to thank all of the people who continue to support me. It means a lot to me. Stay positive, and I will link you guys back soon.

Yours Truly,
Kurt Tomlinson
